About Konstantin Grigorishin
Early Life and Education
Mr. Konstantin Grigorishin was born in Zaporozhye, Ukraine, where he developed a lifelong interest in science and mathematics. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in physics and mathematics and went on to conduct research at the Institute of Spectroscopy of the USSR Academy of Sciences. His scientific background instilled in him an analytical mindset and a respect for structure and precision – traits that would later define his career in business and organizational leadership.
Path to Entrepreneurship
In 1992, Mr. Grigorishin founded his first company, Aragorn-Soft, marking his transition from science to entrepreneurship. Over the next three decades, he established and managed a wide-ranging portfolio of successful businesses, including ventures in energy, engineering, and industrial production. His leadership within the Energy Standard Group, where he serves as a major shareholder, has positioned him as an influential figure in European energy distribution and industrial development.
Reforming Competitive Swimkming
Mr. Grigorishin’s involvement in sport began with the establishment of the Energy Standard Swimming Club in 2012, followed by the Group’s patronage of the Ukrainian Swimming Federation. These initiatives reflected his desire to strengthen the foundations of competitive swimming in his home country.
In 2018, Mr. Grigorishin founded the International Swimming League (ISL), the first professional swimming league to combine fair compensation, equal representation, and entertainment value within a single global framework. The ISL’s pioneering structure introduced salary guarantees, equal prize money for men and women, and a dynamic calendar of international events designed to elevate both athlete welfare and audience engagement.
